Below are some of the PHP projects I worked on around 2015

DCC HR - Dar es Salaam City Council Human Resource

In Tanzania we have more than 30 regions one among them is Dar es Salaam which is very famous for businesses.

The project was developed to help and enhance the human resource functionalities in its city council organization. There were different user roles relating to categories found in that city council, some of them are;

  • Human Resource
  • ICT Department
  • Finances
  • Health Services

The users with the role of Human Resource are acting as the administrators and they are able to;

  • Manage employees i.e. creating, editing, deleting, viewing and printing their details.
  • Manage employees leave requests (accept / reject) and resignation.
  • Warn employees regarding their behaviors.
  • Post training information.

The users with the role of ICT Department were able to;

  • Manage IT related devices / inventory.
  • View and reply to IT related support tickets from other employees.

The other remained users were able to;

  • View and update their details including their skills and capabilities.
  • Request leave.
  • Submit IT related support tickets.
  • Create daily reports and view / print them.
  • Communicate with other employees in the forum.
  • Viewing training details.

Vunaforum

This is a social network web application which not only allows users to post and interact with other members but also earn money regarding how they like and comment on adverts which are listed in the applications.

In a single day there are 12 rounds i.e. each round is 2 hours, in each round the top likers and commenters are listed on the leaderboard section. After the round is finished the leaders will be calculated and rewarded some amount.

The administrators users were able to;

  • Manage the posts.
  • Verify and process the payments.
  • Manage adverts.

Instructor

This project helps the lecturer / instructor to connect with his or her students in order to share different materials such as Projects, Papers and Files.

The material title and short description are public, but material content / description and files are visible after a user is logged in.

The instructor is able to;

  • Upload materials with their files.
  • Upload his / her students' details.
  • Communicating with his / student through a forum.
  • Commenting on materials and forum posts.

The student is able to;

  • Update his / her details.
  • Viewing materials and downloading their content / files after authentication.
  • Commenting on materials posts.
  • Communicating with the instructor and other students through a forum.
